Barara B. Clark, RN,MSN,CRNP has over thirty-five years of experience as a Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner. Ms. Clark is a highly skilled in the areas of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of health problems affecting individuals and communities. Ms. Clarke has the knowledge and experience related to the care of homeless, low-income, and uninsured populations, groups with complex health problems that demand non-traditional approaches to care. In addition to clinical experience, Ms. Clark has been a member of the senior management team at two Federally Qualified Health Centers, and a third non-profit community health center. She has developed numerous clinical guidelines for use at these health centers, implementing current research and standards of care. Ms. Clark has evaluated quality of care using a variety of quantitative and qualitative methods as well as acted as the liaison with local and state health departments, other community agencies, Federal funding bodies (HRSA) and the major universities in the surrounding communities, which include Johns Hopkins University, Catholic University, the University of Maryland, Case Western University, and several technical schools. Ms. Clark has taught nursing at the undergraduate level and served as a preceptor for advanced practice nurses. Ms. Clark has been an invited speaker at the local, state, and national level. Her ability to communicate effectively in writing is evidenced by publications for professional and lay readers, as well as the grants written that have been successfully funded by Health Research and Services Administration and by private foundations. Ms. Clark has conducted research, and provided oversight to medical and nursing students who were conducting independent research projects. In addition, Ms. Clark has international experience and consider culturally competent care a priority for all populations.
